Courtney is a 2016 Olympic Trials hopeful in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase. Besides training part-time in Sacramento, Courtney also works at a Fun Factory Preschool. Working with children helps her maintain a balanced lifestyle as she pursues her running dreams.
Courtney originally participated in track and field as a hurdler and sprinter. With the guidance of her coach, Courtney switched over to running long distance. From there she continued her running career at American River College and at California State University Stanislaus. In 2014 Courtney won the NCAA II Women's 1500 Meter race.
Currently, Courtney is running for Strava Track Club, an elite development running club, and hopes to continue pursuing her passion for competing.
